The sparrow

I wish I could find this poem that my mother recited to us so often when we were growing up.

It goes like this--- I'm only a little sparrow, a bird of low degree

I know my heavenly Father cares for me. He gives me a coat of feathers

That is all I can remember of the poem.

My mother loved poetry and I remember so many of her verses she would recite to us when it was time for us to get out of bed and get ready for school. What an inspiration she was to me.

Hi,

I found this version of The Sparrows that starts out the way you remember:

http://www.wrensworld.com/sparrows.htm

It says it's author unknown which is too bad as it's such a beautiful poem.
