Rise Above It

When you're down and out, and life looks grim
Hang on to life and get ready to swim
Up and over the rocks and boulders
To the smitten edges of lifes shoulders
To the vast and erie plains unknown
Where thoughts and visions escape from home
Soaring far into the night, intense and awesome search
There lies the answer up above on a bright and golden perch.


I wrote this poem on a dull and dreary day when I was troubled about something. I cannot remember what it was but this poem lifted my spirits when I began to write. It helps me look at all the opportunities in life rather than look at the obstacles and problems. Hope you enjoy it as well.
