Hi Lonwabo,

Thanks for setting the record straight. Georgie (who submitted this quote to my site) does say that it was originally published by Marianne Williamson. I did a quick search on the internet about this and it does seem that this one is one of those Urban Legends. So, to set the record completely straight, the quote is from Marianne Williamson from her book, "Return to Love" published in 1992.

When you're dealing with Urban Legends like these, it's so easy to get the wrong information. It's still a powerful and inspirational quote whoever said it and I thank Georgie for sharing it with me and what it means to her. I also thank you for letting me know how it's part of an Urban Legend so we can play our part in putting a stop to it.

 Mandela's name misused

The statement that says Nelson Mandela said the above words in his speech is totally untrue. Many people have made this claim but it is simply not true. I thought I'd straighten that out. (If you still insist what speech was it and when and where was it said?)

I think your website carries some very good and useful stuff but don't use Madiba's name unnecessarily.
